Ellen S. Goldberg is a Miami-based author, writer, editor and photographer who for nearly 20 years was a planning and program professional for the Jewish Federations of Greater Miami and Tampa, FL. With an extensive background in print journalism (newspapers, magazines and specialty publications) and photography, Goldberg was a correspondent in India and Sri Lanka for The Christian Science Monitor for two years, during which time she interviewed His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his official residence in Dharamsala in northern India and covered the ethnic civil war in the island nation once Known as Ceylon. In addition to the Monitor, her works have been published by the Associated Press, The Boston Globe, The Tampa Tribune, and Hadassah and Arts of Asia magazines, among many others. Her photographs have appeared in one-woman and group exhibits including The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, B’/nai B’rith Klutznick National Jewish Museum in Washington, DC, Judah L. Magnes Museum in Berkeley, CA, Florida International University in Miami, and the Jewish Museum of Florida- FIU in Miami Beach.
