co-founding editor of Journal of Indo-Judaic Studies, Nathan Katz is professor Emeritus of Florida International University Miami, CA. Among his dozen books are Buddhist Images of Human Perfection (1989, second edition) and The Last Jews of Cochin (1993, co-authored with Ellen S. Goldberg). He has won four Fulbright awards for research and/on lecturing in South Asia and five times has been named a 'Master Teacher' by the Florida Humanities Council.
