5. Ishaq Dar met with Saudi Finance Minister at Jeddah

Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar in a meeting with Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Assaf discussed matters related to Saudi funding for new development projects in Pakistan. A Protocol was signed between Saudi Fund for Development and Pakistan for financial assistance of 100 million Saudi Riyals to Pakistan’s earthquake victims and their rehabilitation.

13. UAE gave US$ 2.5 million to help displaced people in Waziristan

UAE spent US $2.5 million for humanitarian assistance to help 50,000 displaced families in the Bannu district. Approximately 3,550 tons of food rations would be distributed in the form of 71kg food baskets, each containing various food products such as flour, rice, dates, sugar, salt, lentils, oil and tea.
