Islamists revealed a list of that they claimed to be details of 70,000 “forged civil identification cards that were used during the 2010 parliamentary elections and could be used to rig the upcoming polls”. An official of the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD) said the names on the list do not exist in the department’s database, while the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) challenged the Islamists to produce an example of a forged card mentioned in the list.
